- Madison Street Theatre, a 501c3 nonprofit with 2 stages, is hiring part time House/Concession Managers. Hours: Shifts are typically some combination of Thursday through Sunday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons (matinees). Estimated 10-20 hours per week. This position is typically not compatible with the schedule of actors, directors and stage managers.
Duties:
- Manage lobby
- Serve concession before performance and during intermission (beer and wine included)
- - Maintain cleanliness of lobby and restrooms during performances
- Restock concession items during intermission
- Lock and secure building after each performance
Qualifications
- o Minimum of one year customer service and cash handling experience
o The availability to work a flexible schedule that will include evening and weekend hours on a frequent basis
o Excellent organization skills
o Superior attention to detail
o Outstanding verbal skills
o Exceptional judgment and discretion
o The ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities, both individually and collectively
o The ability to deal calmly, rationally and tactfully in a creative, quick-paced and sometimes stressful environment
o Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
o Ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- BASSET certification is required for all candidates but can be obtained through MST during the initial training period
o Must be a minimum 21 years of age

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
