Nurse Director of the Emergency Department
The Director of the Emergency Department is a Registered Nurse (RN) that practices within the scope of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, high quality, individualized nursing care, based upon knowledge and experience, the nursing process and leadership skills. The RN incorporates the creative factors of human care and performs established procedures in accordance with the organization's and the nursing division's policies, procedures, and standards of care.
The Director of the Emergency department oversees the clinical and patient care delivery and has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility of the operations of our busy comprehensive Emergency Department.
Duties include:
Responsibility for planning, coordinating directing, and evaluating patient services and the personnel responsible for the delivery of those services.
Masters degree in nursing preferred, BSN required.
Current Illinois RN License required.
Five or more years of progressive clinical and management nursing experience is required.
ACLS Certified
CPR CertifiedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
