Pharmacy Manager
Job Description:
As the Pharmacy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful launch andmanagement of our client's small retail pharmacy located just south of Chicago.
We are seeking aLicensed Pharmacist who not only possesses the necessary qualifications but also has the drive andexpertise to run the business effectively.
Responsibilities:
o Pharmacy Operations:
You will manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring compliancewith all relevant regulations and standards.
Your role will encompass the full spectrum of what apharmacist does, including:
o Prescription Dispensing:
Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications whileproviding essential information and counseling to patients on proper medication usage andpotential side effects.
o Medication Therapy Management:
Perform comprehensive medication reviews, identifymedication-related problems, and make recommendations for therapy optimization.
o Drug Interaction Management:
Monitor and manage potential drug interactions, ensuringpatient safety.
o Inventory Management:
Maintain an efficient and organized pharmacy inventory, orderingmedications, and supplies as needed.
o Compounding:
Prepare specialized medications as required, adhering to strict quality and safetystandards.
o Business Development:
Contribute to the growth strategy by actively participating in thedevelopment and execution of business plans.
Your role will be critical in expanding thepharmacy's reach and clientele.
This includes identifying and developing new services toenhance the overall patient experience.
o Team Management:
You will ensure effective teamwork and communication with thepharmacists and support staff to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care.
o Patient Care:
Offer individualized patient care by providing guidance on medication adherence,lifestyle modifications, and disease management.
Monitor patients' health outcomes and makeadjustments to therapy as needed.
o Community Engagement:
Develop strong relationships within the community, reflecting thediversity and values of the Southside of Chicago.
Understanding and addressing the uniqueneeds and healthcare challenges of the local population is paramount.
In addition to this, as apharmacist, you'll be responsible for providing health education, medication therapymanagement, and wellness programs to the community.
Requirements:
o A licensed pharmacist with a strong track record in pharmaceutical services.
o A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the pharmacy field.
o Flexibility in working hours to provide coverage during retail hours and non-retail hours.
o Strong business acumen and the ability to manage a small retail pharmacy effectively.
o A commitment to reflecting the community served, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
o Understanding of the specific healthcare needs of the Southside Chicago community.
